Description of an embodimentFigure 1 shows a device 10 for leg lifting mounted on a bed 2. The bed 2 comprises onehead end 4 and a foot end 6. The leg lift device 10 comprises a fastening portion 12 intended toattached to a foot end corner 7 of the bed, for example by a pin placed inbed-fixed pipe sleeve or some other form of preferably demountable fasteners. At the upper end of the fixed part 12 a guide element 16 is arranged. From the guide element 16 extendsan elongated lifting arm 14 slightly upwards and towards the middle of the song 2. The lifting arm 14 is viathe guide element 16 is rotatably mounted at the fastening portion 12 so that relative rotation is allowed around onesubstantially horizontal axis of rotation 18. Preferably, the axis of rotation 18 has an angle in the range 20-70 degrees towards a horizontal line 17 along the foot end 6 of the bed 6, and preferably in the range 35-60degrees. A drive device 20 is arranged to influence rotational movement between the lifting tooth 14 and the fastening portion12 around the shaft 18. The drive device 20 is here fixedly attached to the fastening portion 12 and comprises onemovable part 22 mounted on the lifting arm at a storage point 24. The movable part 22 is driven by aelectric motor (not shown) arranged in a housing 25 of the mounting portion. The electric motor affects the variablepart 22 a projecting or retracting movement in some manner known per se. Preferably happensthe power supply by the electric motor being connected to a power supply system, which arecommonly used for the purpose of handling other electrically controlled functions of beds withincare. Alternatively, the electric motor is connected to a wall socket via a voltage converter. The drive device is controlled by means of a control box 40, preferably via wirelesscommunication.203035A support member 26 is arranged freely suspended from the lifting arm 14 at an attachment point 32 locatedat a distance from the axis of rotation 18, preferably near a free end of the lifting arm. The carrier organ26 includes a carrying basket 28 or the like in which the user's feet can be placed. Onelifting line 30 or the like connects the support basket 28 to the attachment point 32. The support basket 28 is hereformed with a relatively rigid plate 29 against which the user's feet can rest. The distance between the pivot shaft 18 and the attachment point of the lifting arm 14 is approximately 1-1.5 m.a freely hanging carrying basket 28 ends up next to the bed 2 near the middle of one of its long sides8 at the recording mode shown in Figure 1. The leg lift device is used as follows:The user places his feet in the carrying basket 28 in the receiving position shown in Figure 1 from aposition sitting in the bed 2. Because the lifting rope 30 slackens slightly, the carrying basket fl can be movedslightly along the floor to a desired starting position. Thereafter, the user activates the drive means 20by means of the control box 40, the movable part 22 of the drive means being pushed out and actuatingthe lifting arm 14 rotation about the shaft 18. Since the attachment point 32 is in the receiving positionnear the height position of the pivot axis, the support basket 28 will be lifted initially substantially verticallyagainst a first intermediate position shown in Figure 2. Between the first intermediate position via a second intermediate position shown in Figure 3 to one shown in Figure 4delivery position, the geometry means that the movement gradually transitions into a mainlyhorizontal movement in over the bed 2 in the direction of the guide element 16. At the delivery positionthe feet are above the bed 2 near its foot end whereby the user deactivatesthe drive means 20 by means of the control box 40. After this the feet fl can be moved away fromthe carrying basket 28. During the lifting procedure, the feet thus have to be fl moved upwards, towardsthe middle of the bed, as well as towards the foot end by a continuous movement. Depending on the user's mobility, assistance may be needed to be seatedposition, lifting and lifting of the feet and maneuvering, but due to the relativesimple and easy-to-operate device, the need for instructions and training is low. It has been described here how the user fl is moved from sitting position to lying position, butthe device can of course be used for moving from a lying to sitting position onsimilarly but with reverse motion. The invention can be varied according to a number of alternative embodiments within the framework ofpatent claims. For example, the carrier member and the design of the lifting arm can be varied without itthe geometric movement pattern changes. Furthermore, the drive means can be designed, operated andpower supply in other ways known per se. Furthermore, the drive means can be controlled to followactivation signal automatically stops at the delivery mode. Attachment of the mounting part to the bedcan also be varied, so that a rotational movement about a vertical axis is allowed or not, alternativelylimited to a given angular range. It is also possible to allow an optional lock ingiven angular position by means of, for example, a detachable locking pin.

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that said pivot axis (18) has an angle in the range 20 - 70 degrees towards a horizontal line (17) along the foot end (6) of the bed - Device according to claim 2, characterized in that said angle (18) lies in the range of 35-60 degrees. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the drive device (20) is attached to the fixed part (12) and comprises a movable part (22) mounted at the lifting tooth (14), where the movable part (22) is driven by an electric motor.
